Under the Tent of the Sky
(This poem is from my tutoring school but I thought it would be nice
to share it with you)
The wind cracked his whip,
The storm flashed a gun,
And the animal clouds marchedone by one
Under the tent of the sky.
There were elephants, blue,
And shaggy white bears,
And dozens and dozens of prancing grey mares
With their beautiful heads held high.
There were soft-footed panthers
And ostriches, fluffy,
And great hippopotamus, purple and puffy,
Who wallowed in mud-coloured mist.
There were small curly dogs
And camels with humps
And a wrinkled rhinoceros, all over bumps,
With a horns as big as your fist.
There was even a lion,
Bedecked with a mane,
Who growled so loud that he turn into rain
And tumbled to earth with a sigh.
The wind cracked his whip
And out came the sun
And the animal clouds passed one by one
Out of the tent of the sky.

My brother is a...
It was dark and cool, because it was 12:04am. I was hauling the warm, heavy blanket up towards my head because I was frightened. My name is Melinda Atkinson and I’m in Year 8, I have a brother named Cody, in Year 6. He had been acting very weird recently, and I don’t know why. That’s all you ought to know for now. I had a terrible dream that made me rouse from a deep sleep; a dream that explained the history of intriguing enigma; a dream that had been a fortune teller. 12:04am seems like an intermittent time but that was the time when my adventure began.
I wanted to sleep, pondering of nothing but about my teddy bear my grandpa bought when I was little. I got it when my mummy and daddy died. I’m going to cry so I’ll refrain myself from talking anymore. For some reason, I couldn’t sleep so I just reached to get a book. By accident, I stepped on the gargantuan carpet that had a tiny hole. But just as I stepped on that piece of weaved cloth, the ground caved in under my feet. The last thing I said was “Cody!”
My head throbbing and pain gushing, I shook myself. I was in a dense forest, covered with thick leaves with fresh chlorophylls and colourful petunias. I knew something ominous was approaching. Searching and exploring like an adventurer, I observed some yellowish orange smoke coming ahead. I was fascinated so I ran towards that enigmatic smoke but I realised I shouldn’t have; a creature with brightly coloured scales, with sharp teeth, and yellow eyes glaring at me. A flaming dragon.
First I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was in a forest, with a mythical creature that was trying to consume my flesh. Numb, I stood there for about a second and RAN! This could have been the most terrifying experience of my life. After few minutes of scampering, I realised that the dragon wasn’t after me. Even though I heard squealing from that dragon I didn’t go back. Then the noise stopped. I felt that tranquillity coming to my mind and my soul. I just went back to the fiery place to see if the dragon died. I was transfixed by the sight of that gory dragon slumped on the mulching ground.
I looked around to see who had killed it, then realised something worse than a dragon was lurking near by... a werewolf; a hairy, wild, grotesque werewolf. The werewolf glared at me and smiled in the most sinister way I’ve ever seen.
“Hi Melinda, you recognise me?” that werewolf declared.
“No... Wait a minute are you, um, C-Cody?” I stammered.
“Ha, well I guess it’s your turn now...” Cody whispered. The last thing I saw was Cody’s vulpine physique and his shiny, sharp teeth. C.P

Never
Never. My mum has a list of things never to do. The one she emphasises the most is “Never go into the forest”. She doesn’t say why but Mum would have a reason, I’m sure.
Everything started in the school holidays. On the first morning when I looked outside, the scene was stunning. Frost blanketed the crisp, lime green lawn and the sun was an auburn button on a cherry blouse. I had lots to do that day.
As the days wore on I had fewer things to do and I began to get bored.
One day I woke feeling audacious. I told my mum I was going for a walk and I was. I was going to the forest, though.
Walking along the mud trail to the forest a little voice in my mind was telling me to turn around and go home. I should have listened but I didn’t.
Gradually I entered the forest. The majestic trees excluded a large amount of the daylight. The earth beneath me was damp and mossy. The vegetation was crammed with animals. There were birds soaring above me, arching their imposing wings. There were insects swarming all over the trees. I stood transfixed, at all the wildlife surrounding me. I walked deeper into the forest, amazed at all the wildlife going about their normal life. As I walked deeper into the forest the trees closed out more light until there was only a sliver of light left.
Suddenly, diaster struck. It all happened in what was a few seconds but to me it felt like a lifetime. I tripped on a mossy log and as I fell my life flashed before me. I hit the ground and everything went black.
When I came to the first thing I noticed was my throbbing ankle. I sat up and removed my shoe. I gasped. My ankle was red and swollen. I carefully stood up and gingerly tried putting weight on my foot. It was unattainable. I decided that I needed to get home but I couldn’t remember which way. I hobbled around for a while and finally came to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a cottage. The cottage looked like it had come out of a fairytale. I limped over to the door and gave a loud knock. A young lady answered ‘Yes? May I help you?’
I showed her my ankle and quickly she gestured to come in. Erin, the young lady, made swift work bandaging my ankle. I told Erin I can’t walk and so Erin’s husband pushed me home in their wheelbarrow.
When I got home everyone fussed over me. Mum took me to the hospital so the doctor could check my ankle. It turns out it was broken.
I think now after my experience in the forest I won’t ever go there again. Mum told me that exactly the same happened to her in the forest which is why she forbids me to go there.
Never is a story I wrote for a competition(Write4Fun). I hope you liked it.

Here is a description of a scene
and then leading to a complication
of a narrative. C.Z (21.11.10)
As I strolled leisurely along, the golden sand crunching beneath my feet, I glimpsed a shiny object at the corner of my eye. I stepped cautiously towards it. I picked up the object and observed it carefully. The shine of the miraculous object seemed to cast me into a dream world - so heavenly. I looked around me.
Palm trees swayed gently in the soft breeze, stopping only to catch their breath and then to continue swaying some more. The feeling of sand tickling my feet was glorious. I watched people walking by and the smiles on their faces were just like a beautiful rainbow. Everything in this world was perfect, as though it was made especially for me, which I believed was an honour. I would never want to leave this wonderful paradise even if I have to die and I would pay anything, absolutely anything, to stay.
Unfortunately, as I thought of these things, I remembered my real life, which was obviously not my paradise. The life of hatred, sadness and most of all bullies. Even though I would love to stay in my lovely paradise, I know that one day, I will have to return to my real life. What can I do to face those terrifying, terrible tormentors?

I basically like emotional and sombre poems:
The Everlasting Ocean
The referred glow,
From surrounding hills,
Softens the moist lines,
Of everyone’s' thrills.
Phosphorescent droplets dissolve from the sea,
Through a fading celestial sky,
To shining coral,
In an early dawn fishing net nearby.
The crystal clear water,
touches my heart,
I will never forget this panorama,
It is a magnificent piece of art.
I really love the ocean,
Full-filled with adventure and mystery,
It seems so important,
With just one glance, I think I've written history.

Hello I'm B.K and I'm in year 5. Here's a story, I wrote about Jack Sparrow. This story continues on from the scene where Jack was riding off to the ocean in his dinghy. I hope you like it!
Jack Sparrow's New Adventure
Jack rowed his small black painted dinghy towards the unknown face of the everlasting ocean. His tanned complexion was absorbing the blistering light from the unforgiving sun. He had pitch-black hair and enormous sparkling eyes. Jack wore white and brown English pirate clothes and they were extremely dirty. The blue sea was seemingly never-ending but if sailors go too far, they will fall off the world to the land of death where monster savagely consume those humans who step in their land. Tiredly, Jack rowed on, trying not to fall asleep." No, don't sleep. No..." he said as he gradually closed his splintered eyes.
Jack woke up lying on the white rich sand which was burning hot. He felt a furry object moving across his arms. Jack quickly got up and aimed furiously at the unknown object with his powerful pistol. Looking down on the sand with his cocked pistol, he searched everywhere but he didn't seem to look up because he knew it would be a small creature. Jack discovered two small furry objects. They were light grey and had big sharp claws at the end of the creatures. Jack was frightened to see such an intimidating monster. Wait! He slowly looked up and saw a hairy body, arms and legs! Face of a rat! With a sword! It had whiskers and small angry eyes like slanted daggers starting at him. It was growling. It was roaring. It was furiously charging at Jack.
"Good ra-rat, ah, good...Aaaaaaaaaagh!" he screamed while he was dashing at lightning speed. Jack headed towards a dark shed that was about to fall over. He quickly, went inside and slammed the door, and looked for any danger.
Phew. Nothing at all. He heaved a sigh of relief and thought about how and why and what was happening. Jack knew that he was in the land of death after he had pondered for a few seconds. He stared down and saw a funny orange hair. The hair and it looked up. A face. It was a dwarf. He stared at Jack with curiosity, looking amazed and stunned at the same time. It had shiny silver plates and a heavy axe that was polished to an extraordinary shine. They both screamed at the same time," Aaaaaaagh!". It seemed like a, who screams the loudest and longest competition." Do you want anything from us?" asked the dwarf.
" We speak the same language, then we must be in the same team," Jack replied trying to be friendly.
" I hope so. Why are you here?" the dwarf asked.
" I don't know. Is this the land of death?" asked Jack again.
" No! This is Longford, the country of the dwarfs," answered the mystical dwarf answered.
Later the conversation ended and Jack knew what was happening but the fact of amazement was that he'd gone back in time to BC.
" Attention! The attack of the skavens has started! We must be alarmed and be ready for the bloodthirsty battle," exclaimed the leader of the dwarfs.
" Excuse me, but what are skavens?" asked Jack.
" They are two times bigger than the dwarfs and are very violent!" shouted out the captain dwarf," We are trying to take the Dragon Claw before they do or else we will be crucified!" , the leader explained. " Oh, I almost forgot, I'm Captain Dwarfarius. And you must help us Jack!"
" Okay, I will." said Jack.
An alarm buzzed loudly through the room. Suddenly, every single dwarf hastily put on their silver armour and held their axes and swords. " We must obtain the Dragon Claw first before the skavens do. It is our source of power!" shouted Captain Dwarfarius.
Jack held out his magnum and reloaded six bullets." AAAAATACK!" the commander dwarf shouted.
Suddenly, every dwarf started bolting towards the Dragon Claw as did the violent skavens. Jack, instead took a short cut to the Dragon Claw."Kontinuosit loyhathis!!" the lead skaven shouted. Suddenly, a plague of rats dashed at 1000km per hour! They were so fast, that a cheetah would be run down. The enormous battle began. The shooting, poking, thrusting, killing, dying, and shouting were all happening simultaneously. Jack quickly ran to the Dragon Claw and figured out that the head skaven was standing vainly at the top of the Dragon Claw. " Yes! We obtained the Dragon Claw, now we are the ruler of Longford!" the head skaven proclaimed.
The skavens were overwhelming the dwarfs. The battle will end with the skavens winning. Jack quickly stood up and aimed the magnum at the head skaven." Six shots will manage," he whispered. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! There was a sudden silence, and the lead skaven fell to the ground. Suddenly, all the other skavens fell too. Captain Dwarfarius came and held up the Dragon Claw up high up. Suddenly, there was a bright light and everything turned peaceful. Jack unexpectedly fell to the ground as he heard the other dwarfs trying to wake him up. There was an echo and then, silence.
Jack woke up, he's in his dinghy again. He gave out a sigh of relief and thought that it was all a dream. He soon figured that he had a scar from the battle...

Enemies to friends
I wanted to cry. I couldn't believe I'd been so unlucky. It was the new school year and instead of Mr Patterson taking our class we had given a new teacher, Miss Bow. The class had mucked up and she decided that next day we would sit in alphabetical order at our desks. This meant that I was made to sit next to Kim, the meanest kid in our school. As I made my way to my seat that morning I had a bad, bad feeling.
For our entire English lesson, Kim sat there and did none of her writing, instead she hummed her favourite tune by "Black Eye Peas." Miss Bow soon found out that Kim hadn't finished anything, and she put Kim on afternoon detention. She made rude actions while Miss Bow turned her back to write something on the blackboard, and I heard Kim swear under her breath.
At recess a small kindergarten boy bumped into Kim, so she picked the boy up and gave him a wedgie. The boy started to cry, So kim put him down. I ran over to the boy to check if he was okay, and he said yes. He leaped up and thanked me, before running off back to the playground. Kim suddenly came out of thin air and pushed me to the ground for no reason. She then snickered and ran down the hallway back to class.
For the whole maths lesson, Kim flicked my ear, she flicked again and it missed my ear, but she hit my face! I yelped with pain, and Miss Bow put me on lunch time detention because she thought that I was trying to make funny sounds to distract the class. I was in a fiery temper and my head was about to explode because of smelly Kim.
When it was lunch time, I watched the other children play and run about in the playground. I felt like crying, I huffed as the end of lunch time bell rang. As I made my way to the door, Kim came out of nowhere and -
I laid in the hospital and looked at my broken leg. I was miserable. Then the door opened and in came smelly Kim. She gave me some choclate and apologised immediately. I really hated her and Kim didn't know how much hatred I showed to her but I forgave her. I found out that Kim was a very nice person and eventually we became the best of freinds.

Hello, I'm A.G and I wrote a few poems . I hope you like them.
MUM, I NEED SOME MORE IN MY PURSE!!!
Not all mums are nice,
Some can be like frozen ice,
That makes you feel bad
And very very sad!
Not all mums are nice,
But some cannot be frozen ice
They'll never make you feel bad,
And never ever sad!
Not all mums are nice,
Some even have head lice
Because they're disgusting
You'll never be smiling!
My mum's the best,
And earth produces them the least!
I feel proud to be a child of her's,
But please, I need a bit more in my purse!
STUDY
Study,study,study,
Can't I have a buddy?
I want to play
But study is what mums say!
Don't you get me?
I just want you to see,
If you're in my position,
you'll have no concentration!
No,no,no
Study is what mums say so,
You know, I want freedom,
And one day, be a king in a kingdom!
I hope you enjoyed it! A.G

A Warrior's Life
Hello, it's BK, the author of 'Jack Sparrows New Adventure' in the top of the page, this story is also kind of like a movie but I hope it is interesting...
I quickly take out my shiny silver sword out of my scabbard which was tied onto my jewel encrusted belt. I point to the unknown dragon with my sword. My short blond hair shines as my dirty face withers. My rusty armour seems to have no effect except weighing me down. There is no time to look at the high mountains because I have to slay this beast that is twenty feet high and breathes fire furiously at any intruder. The dragon gives out a tremulously mighty roar and charges for me. "Aaaaagh!" I shout as I swing my sword at one of the dragon's thick legs covered in scales.
Slash! The dragon's leg is injured but it only has a minor effect. It shoots out a crimson red fiery cannon ball coming straight at me. I run rapidly for my life towards a huge boulder which can hopefully barricade me from the searing hot flames. I jump above the big silver boulder and hide behind it . The fire crashes on the boulder like a super-fast racing car colliding on a wall. "Phew," I whisper and heave a sigh of relief. Soon, I feel something burning my back. The boulder was heating up too.
Crack! The boulder disintegrates in tiny pieces of stones. The powerful dragon forcefully hit me with vanity. I fly high like a pelican rising to the sky and hit my head on a hard wall. The wall cracks and tumbles over me. I am now squashed and there is no way to get out. Well, there is one way... I quickly take my wooden whistle that my master gave me and I blow it as hard as I can, expecting Gikow to come. I try hard to get my body out but there is no use, it is nearly impossible to slay a dragon!
Gikow isn't coming to help, I'm stuck and the dragon is extraordinarily strong. The dragon stumps like a soldier towards me. It slowly takes a huge breath then it starts to hurl catapults of flame at me. I decide to say my last words and proceed with my hopeless plan." Gikow please come!"
Suddenly Gikow snatches me out of the wall and flys up high. Yes, Gikow is a phoenix as well as my partner an pet. "Yes you came Gikow! I knew you would come!" I shout as I desperately hang onto its ears.
"Kroa! Kroa!" Gikow shouts as it lands calmly . I come off its back and thank him with gratuitous. Suddenly, the furious dragon attacks Gikow and Gikow fights back. After the fierce dragon piercing through Gikow's leathery skin, it flies away. I silently walk under the dragon and stab its belly. Blood bursts out like a waterfall, and eventually, the dragon becomes furious and counter-attacks me with its razor sharp claws. Three painful lines carve through my armour and into my sweaty chest. I start to squirm like a worm in danger. Again the dragon, shoots out burning hot waves of flame. Now I'm nearly dead. I close my eyes and think about peace, peace.
Again Gikow flys back. It blocks. It cries. It dies. Silly Gikow sacrifices himself just for me. Now, it is really impossible to slay this dragon. Wrapped around Gikow's leg is a chain. A long iron chain. I hold it and run towards the dragon with a sorrowful roar. I tangle its legs by running in different routes through legs. Soon, the dragon could hardly move. I see it run towards me with unrelenting perseverance. I head towards a cliff and stop and the dragon charges at me. I hastily duck and it falls with its wings tangled. I lie down on the ground and rub my injuries. As I pass Gikow, I give it a sign of thanks an continue my journey with warm tears in my eyes.
Hope you enjoyed it!

The Walking Moon
It started to follow her, this thing in the sky. It was grey and she thought this thing was weird to follow her. She was going to find out what it is and why it follows her...
Melanie was only four years old. Melanie had silky brown hair. She had gleaming blue eyes. She was the world to her parents, David and Sharon. Melanie was a fun person to play with. Melanie was also not as smart as other kids her age. this might be because she was autistic. Melanie still hadn't learned to talk yet. It was difficult for her parents to put her in a school for autistic kids. Both parents barely could afford a month of living in their house let alone school and etc. Yet Melanie was still given the best stuff from her parents. You could say the parents were caring very.
Today was October thirty-one, you know what that day is? HALLOWEEN Melanie was ending her trick-or-treat for the night and was walking home with her mum when she saw something in the sky. She knew she had seen it before but it was so long since Melanie was out at night she couldn't remember. If only she could talk to her mom. Now she was just taking this as a challenge she needed to learn how to talk and she was up to the task.
Then later while she was continuing to walk she saw it following her. She continued to walk the thing in the sky kept on following her. She now was panting hardly because she was running fast. Her mum wondered why she was running. This grey thing was annoying her. She wanted to know what it was and why was it following her.
She eventually got home and slept in her bed. She wondered why that thing was following her and what it was. She felt more drowsy until she fell asleep.
The next day she was at drawing time and for the first time in her life she had to copy another person. Her friend Wilson another autistic boy was the statue. But Wilson kept on shaking. Yet Melanie drew a near perfect replica of Wilson. The teachers saw this and were amazed. A little girl autistic could draw better than them also she was autistic. When the teachers had their meeting they found a way to get the girl to talk. The teachers were elated. But it was all about if the plan worked well.
The next day Wilson was a statue again in drawing time. The teachers gave everyone paper, including Melanie. But she was the only one who didn't get crayons.
"Crayons"Melanie said.
Melanie had talked. Teachers were jubilant. Teachers were crying(most of them teachers that didn't have kids). This was a happy moment for the teachers.
Melanie's mom came to pick her up when the teachers told her the news. Melanie"s mom was jubilant. She was crying. She was elated. She picked Melanie up when she came to her. Melanie was in a cautious state she's never been held in this state before. They walked back home one feeling like this had been a normal day and another feeling jubilant.R.K

The Strangers
Every time I think back on the incident, my heart fills with dread. I can almost see, right in front of me, those savage strangers who caused me to live for twenty hours of pure hell.
It all began on a dull and rainy afternoon, I was going to the supermarket, I was running late so I decided to take a shortcut, through a allyway. When I walked about half of the pathway I suddenly felt drowsy the next thing I know was the world had turned black.
I woke up in a cold and damp cell I had no sense of time. The cell smelt like a million of rooten eggs. Suddenly I heard voices and then four strong and brutal men came out of the shadows. They looked like gangsters in movies, The were all whispering and occasionally pointing at me. One of the men said that why don't we just kill the stupid boy, I heard another man say that why don't we just throw her back where we got her from. The other two kept quiet than a fifth men came down I think he was holding a pistol. I thought he was probrably the boss of the kidnappers because he seemed to be giving orders to the other. I wondered what I should do, but there was nothing I could do.
Than one of the men unlocked the cell door and dragged me over to a seat. I felt weak and felt like falling asleep but I stayed awake, by now the boss of the kidnappers seemed to be quite furious. His henchmen seem to argue back and seem to do things there own way. Than the boss suddenly grabbed one of his henchman by the collar and punched him in the stomach. The man fell to the ground goaning with agony, as the other men continued to do what the were asked. Than the boss spoke up, he said he didn't want me to remember anything but before I could ask him a question one of the men injected a needle into my arm and the world turned black again.
When I woke up I didn't know where I was until I saw my mother and father near the bedside. They were both smiling my father told me that I had fainted near the alleyway and he said that he had called for police to find me. I still didn't remember a thing this happen or not I wonder..... E.D

The Great War
Glanoth and his army had been walking for days. They were all exhausted and humid, reader I want you to think about this what if you had an army and they were walking along and suddenly your enemy ambushes you wounding half of you army. Well this is what had happened to Glanoth's army, Glanoth heard voices when they walked a bit further they saw there enemys base camp. It was surrounded with armed guards hoolding swords, bows and daggers. Glanoth decided to ambush them when night falls, as they waited Glanoth started to worry.
When it was dark Glanoth and his elite squads set out leaving the rest of the army to take care of the wounded. When they were on the enemys base they seperated. Glanoth went into a tent without a sound and stabbed two guards dead, suddenly there was a alarm. Glanoth didn't know what to do, in a split second he thought he was going to die but everything was dead silence again. It was quiet too quiet when he walked out of the tent suddenly a hammer came out of nowhere and smashed Glanoth in the head.
When Glanoth woke up he was in a dungeon, it was cold and damp. Glanoth could do nothing but to wait and die, as Glanoth thought of a way out he didn't seem to hear voices outside, until he heard his name being called. He looked through the dungeon window bars and seeing his elite squads holding a chain. They threw the chain up and Glanoth tied it to the dungeon window bars. His elite squads pulled and the bars came free, Glanoth jumped out of the window and went back to there camp. Glanoth decide they would burn the enemy camp down tommorow night.
So as night fell Glanoth and his elite squads waited until everybody had gone to bed. They lite torches and threw it onto the enmys tents. soon everyobody at the enemys base were frantically fleeing from ther tents. Glanoth's army came out and the enemy almost immediatly surrended. Glanoth's army had succeeded and were thrilled they had just won against there strongest enemy yet.E.D

Aaagh!
Someone called her name. Cathy drowsily and reluctantly woke up from her rich dream. I mean really rich. Getting billions of dollars a day is called rich, isn't it? Anyway, Cathy heard someone call her name. Cathy drowsily woke up. Down the stairs she went without once peeking through her eyes. She opened her eyes and saw her mum taking out the breakfast.
"Why did you call me?" Cathy said.
"Aah!" her mum replied and ran away up the stairs.
"What!" Cathy shouted to the skirmish sounds of her mother.
"Your face!" her mum replied fearfully.
Cathy quick as lightning ran to the bathroom.
"Aah!" Cathy shouted.
Instead of her pretty face Cathy saw an ugly drooling monster looking up at her. No, wait, she was staring at the bathroom mirror and was looking at her ugly reflection. Cathy quickly fainted.
Cathy woke up feeling parched and hungry. It was evening. Then she remembered the past events. Morning, breakfast, mirror, monster, her. The day before, Cathy had been making a face changer. She thought it hadn't worked but it appeared it had. Cathy quickly ran to the famous science lab of hers.
There it was. It was neatly bundled up. Cathy quickly activated the controls. She then activated it on the face changing screen mode. She put her normal face in the text box and she put it in front of her face. Yes! It worked! Then Cathy threw the face changing item on the floor. It broke. Cathy didn't care. She wouldn't use that again! Then Cathy picked up the rubbish and put it in the money making box. Then the best thing happened. In notes 1,000,000,000,000 came out. She at least had a billion dollars in one day! (did you like it?) S.V

The Men Who Fight
It is the early 1900's in the time of the nazis. I a jewish was scared at the time. Every day praying that nazis or Adolf Hitler won't attack us.
"Gramps how old were you when you were being attacked by the nazis?"Jullisa said.
Jullisa is my granddaughter, I'm telling her this story because she had to write a report on a jewish that was alive when the nazis came.
"I was about 10 years old. But you have to listen to the story first Jullisa,"I said to her
So as I told the thrilling story, I pictured myself back when I was a little boy...
I think it was in 1945, I was in my mum's house when I hear this knock on the door. In Poland I was warm and fuzzy in my blanket when this happened. My mum then opened the door. I quickly went across the house to try to stop her, but it was too late. I was 99.99% sure that was a nazi. I hoped the door would swing open and there would be someone else, even though I knew this couldn't happen. The door swung open and there was my mum's friend Monisha. She was panting in horrible agony. I knew this wasn't good.
While Monisha was telling mum what to do I realized why my mum wasn't scared when she opened that door. Nazis wouldn't knock they would slam the door. While I was laughing to myself my mum came in with bad news...
We were at the train station later that afternoon. My mum told me we have to leave this part of Poland. The nazis were going to ambush it starting today. I was devastated but I knew this was my only choice for life. Then out of nowhere a nazi comes and shoots my mum. Then they tried to get me but I dodged and got on a train. I was safe for now.
I wanted to get as far away from here as possible. I decided I would live like an orphan nearly dead until this is over. Then I would try to find my dad in Russia. So when I got out of the train I started to try and find some food. So I went to try and find an unlocked apartment with no people. I couldn't find an unlocked apartment. I didn't know it was going to be this difficult to find an empty apartment. Then I found one shockingly empty. I did not know that this would get me the luckiest person in Poland.
I got in and saw 2 kids sleeping on the floor. Now I decided to go real quick in getting the food. When I got to the kitchen I saw 2 men also sleeping. I took one step into the kitchen and one of the men woke up.
"Who are you?"the man asked, now he woke up the other one. The kids didn't wake up, luckily.
"My name is Marcus, I'm a orphan that's a jew,"I replied keeping my calm in this anxious moment.
"Oh you're a jew. We take care of orphaned jews. Would you like to be part of the squad?"the other one asked.
"Sure!" I replied feeling very jubilant.
So the guys set up a bed and sheets and I was asleep safe. But I knew still not to trust anybody including them. Then I fell in a heavy sleep.
"Gramps you really have a good story lets continue tomorrow I'm tired,"Jullisa replied she went up to her bed before I could speak.
I didn't like to tell the story. The thoughts were scary. Luckily she didn't hear the part when the men fought the nazis and
one got killed. I got tears out of my eyes that moment. RK

The Brave Antarctic Expeditioner
"Claire, let's go! I mean captain!" my friend Sarah , both snickered and bellowed.
I am the first woman captain Antarctic expeditioner in the world. Unfortunately, I'm a Norweigan woman and of course, Antarctica is at the bottom of the Earth, which meant it will take a huge amount of time to get there. My ship was floating on the icy cold sea like a lonely iceberg. Quickly, I got the crews and the teams ready as I panted to the stupendous ship. Once we were ready, we headed to the bottom of he world.
It took nearly a month to get to Australia, the island continent just beside Antarctica. We were squeezing our parkas so tight that all of our body parts were full of pain, and it started to get cold because I felt snowflakes touching my skin gently which made me cough. Our ship nearly reached there, the continent of coldness.
My crews and I started to unpack our bags from the ship, waiting for a great adventure. We got the dogs and the sleigh ready, and we slowy hopped on the wooden sleigh. Seemingly impossible, the dogs started to haul us very painstakingly. You could imagine how cold it would be if the lowest temperature in here is -89.6℃.
My heart started to palpitate very slowly, so slow like a turtle. We were very tired becaused the dogs couldn't fight against the cold and unfortunately died. The carcasse was safely, well not very safely buried. That meant we had to haul ourselves through. On our way, we decided to camp few hours after the dogs died.
It was freezing! I couldn't even sleep because it was so cold. Can you imagine what I felt if you were me?
Next day, I rubbed my eyes to elucidate my views. We kept trudging in the snow in the place of coldness and nothingness. We didn't stop even though we ,including me, were getting frostbite. Courage was rushing through me.
Suddenly, an unexpected thing had happened. A blizzard. A severely strong blizzard was attacking us. Three people died. I felt dizzy. My friend Sarah had died too. I flopped and felt like sleeping forever with the snow.
But the reader might ask, how can I write this if I fainted and maybe ..died? Well the answer is........... I'm actually alive.
Feeling warm and comfortable, I woke up. I realised I was in the boat, not mine because it was in abeyance because it was too old but this one looked pretty new. The light was illuminating the room and there was wooden drawer with a miniscule cupboard. Someone was waking me up. It was one of our crew!! He said that he successfully found a person in this continent. When we were talking, the boat's owner was behind us looking a little bit embarrased. He said his name is David, from Australia and he was a very kind man because he said he will drive his own boat to our home.
That's how I survived.
Did you like my story?? C.P

Where would you rather live?
Some people say the countryside,
Because they can spread their arms out wide.
But they definitely do not say the city-No way!
People push and shove you every single day.
Drivers are beeping their car horns loudly,
While people in the country, stride by proudly.
In the city, boys and girls get crammed up tight.
Whereas the country is full of delight.
Although the country sounds so great,
To tell you the truth, I'd rather prefer my home estate,
With my big brother roaming loose.
Even though he can be like a honking goose,
I still prefer my home sweet home.
There are my friends and family living around here,
So if I was removed from them I would shed a tear,
For I love them all very much.
I always try to keep in touch.
Now I have told you what I really think,
But you might not agree with me so just slip my talk down your sink.

Why do people kill animals for their fur?
Why do people hunt animals for thier fur? They know they are breaking the law, but why do people still persist? Here are some of my points on why it is wrong to kill animals for their fur.
My first point is that the animal could come to extinction. People kill animals for their fur is because they use it for beuty or clothing. But people havn't thought before they lept. All poachers kill animals for their fur is because they will become rich and have a large amount of money. All poachers care about is money, money, money. We humans are also animals so why are people killing themselves?
My second point is that it is cruel to kill animals for their fur. Reader I want you to picture this in your head, imagine you see a poacher raising his or her rifle and then "BANG." The animals falls onto the ground lieing still and then you see the poacher putting it into his or her ute and driving to a factory to get the skin manufactured. No nobody wants to see that happen because well it is just cruel.
My third point is that it is animal slaughter. Think about this reader. What if we swapped it around; the humans were the animal and the animal were the humans. Then the animal raises its rifle and fires killing you almost immediatly. What would you feels when that happened to you, you would say that would be murder. So this is what the animal that is about to be killed feels like. Who would want to die? Nobody does want to die.
Therefore I strongly beleive and I hope I have convinced you that animals shouldn't be hunted for their fur and should be stopped straight away. And next time when you are about to kill an animal think again. What if the us the himans were the animals and the animals were the humans think what it would feel like.
I hoped you have enjoyed my arguement, are you convinced?E.D

She is
She is,
strong, big and magnificent.
With a kind heart, because
She did a lot, never asked for a cent,
But mankind never knew it.
They did know,
that she would take revenge.
but in their hearts, love was low,
but there was that little bit, then
they chopped down mother nature.
She is,
holding down the earth,
So that loneliness couldn't spread.
Like dessert over dirt,
Sweeping dust so pure red.
But then they came.
The machine roared to life,
its axe swinging.
It swung once, twice!
I could hear the axe screaming,
There is nothing left but a stump.
Their moving to the next one now,
How many tables do they need?
They take a lot but she allows.
Who guides their path, but greed.
Those trees are mother's children.
Hope you enjoyed my poem! C.Y
Those trees would have liked to die,
Battling a roaring tornado.
Who would want to die, such a lie.
But this is how they want to fail.
Doing the world a great deed.

Book Review on The Shoe-Horn Sonata
The Shoe-Horn Sonata, which is written by John Misto, is a book based on World War 2 and tells the story through an interview done by a character named Rick. The main story telling (that are facts about the war) takes place in a motel in Melbourne. It is written in script for a play. The play was first published in 1996.The story talks about two women named Sheila and Bridie as teenagers when they were involved in the 2nd World War.
The story begins when Sheila and Bridie decided that they would agree on flying to Melbourne for an interview about what had happenned to all the women and children, who were tried to be transported to another country like Australia. It had been 50yrs since they had seen each other. Sheila, who was put on the Giang Bee, was meant to be transported to Brisbane until a Japanese boat found them and the Giang Bee began to sink. Sheila saved herself by holding onto a piece of wood. While Sheila was on the Giang Bee, Bridie was on the Vyner Brooke. Her ship sank as well, but she had a life jacket on. They both talked about how they were captured by the Japanese and had to live in a special women camp. They had to be separated from the men. They also talked about how the women in their tent would always share their food around and not be greedy. In the end, the readers will find out how all the women got out of the terrible situation.
The Shoe-Horn Sonata is a very well written play, which is suitable for most ages. It has a variety of songs, that are named, to be played during the real play. The author carefully unfolds secrets between the two main characters, that have been kept quiet for 50yrs. There are many facts that are told in the form of a story. No reader will find this book too boring as it has times, which are quite funny or exciting. C.Z (I hope you liked it and I hope you would read the book).

Find a Word:
A book I'm trying to write with my friend..
I'm trying to write a book with my friend and is called the "Real things". We are not going to publish it, but I'll tell you what it's about.
Well, there is the main character Melinda Atkinson with her little brother Cody. Their life is not easy when they move houses in to a mansion. One day the time changes rest of their life when on 12:04am, Melinda droppes a book in a carpet that lookes just like a hole. When it's 12:04, is it or is it not......
The reason it's called the real thing is that about her parents. This is the only clue I'm giving why it's called the real things.
I think it would be cool if we can really publish a book, but I want to be someone else than an author. We're just planning to just write it with our hand, though. Anyway bye! C.P

fable or something
Here's a story I've heard somewhere, but I just don't remember where!
A brave and honorable King set out across the rugged lands to seek if the poor peasants of his kingdom were loyal to him. He disguised himself as an ordinary citizen and he and his noble steed travel to the countryside.
The King's tired and sweaty hands gripped the reins of his not-so-beautiful horse who was lumbering lazily in the sweltering midday sun. Upon the weedy, uneven country road the king saw a limping beggar.
"Please, Merchant," he croaked. " Let me ride your beautiful brumby so my leg can rest from this unbearable pain."
The Royal Ruler told the man that if he guided him to the nearest village he could ride his horse. The man and the King swapped places, the king helping the man get on the horse . The Man used his crutch to hit the horse brutally on the backside and the colt zoomed off into the unknown.
"Yeehaaaaaaaarrr!" the beggar whooped.
In the humid afternoon, the king finally arrived at the minuscule village to find the beggar boasting about the pub about the king's horse.
" My white horse is the best! You will never get a white horse here! it is fit for a king!" he said.
"Hey! that was my horse you loathsome liar!" the King fumed.
Flicking his cigar, the beggar told him to go to the court at four 'o clock sharp.
At the court, the king and the beggar lined up at the judge's table.
"I'm telling you, the coin is mine!" argued an angry shopkeeper.
" He is the one lying!" urged a motel manager.
"Now, Now!" the judge interrupted. " This coin, you two men say that it belongs to you. now I need to record your occupations"
" I and a keeper of a store of oils"
" I am the manager of Cozy hotel."
'Next case!
" This bible is mine and I've had it for a long time!" said a stable boy.
" Don't lie you sinful sin maker!" a writer hissed.
"Give me the bible and I will inform you who is the truthful keeper of this bible," the judge said calmly. as he recorded their details.
Next Case !
" It is my teapot. A lady like me would never lie!" huffed a Cafe owner.
" LIAR! my rich merchant husband bought that iron teapot for me! Which woman would not have a teapot when she is traveling in comfort!"
With that the judge moved on to the next case.
He treated the King's case like any other one, even though the king stated that he was one.
the next day the king and the peasant returned to the court.
"The truthful owner of the coin is the oil merchant because it was oily and scented. The owner of the bible is the writer, and only a writer would take notes in a bible about the text structure. The teapot belongs to the cafe owner as she owns a cafe and that the iron teapot was too heavy. Also I questioned her husband. "
The king gasped at the judges knowledge.
" And finally, the owner of the horse is the king, as the beggar could not catch a wild horse or get on the horse himself and the king is so lavishly dressed.
Really? thought the king.
The king thought that the judge was very wise and offered him a place in his own high court.
